Happy 1 Month, David!
Today was a day of discomfort it seemed for David, as he was super fussy all day. He lost some weight again, but his doctor thinks it is due to the increase in the lasix which is causing him to pee off some extra fluids. Otherwise, his blood pressures are looking good and his oxygen saturations have come down a little bit. Overall, he’s looking better from a clinical standpoint.
As for what the pressures look like in his heart, they will wait to see how those look next week when he has his weekly echo. That may determine whether he needs the cath procedure or not.
His weight gain will be checked tomorrow. If it’s looking good, he may be discharged, but they said don’t be surprised if he has to stay another day. At this point, he’s day to day as to whether he’ll be able to come home or not. Otherwise, it was pretty quiet in his room in terms of disruptions. We’re finally falling off daily checkins from various teams. We got a surprise visit from volunteer dog Finn. Finn really wanted to give David some love, but nothing could ease David’s fussiness today. Pharmacy stopped by today to go over his medications because we were wondering about administering his shot since the needle they use in his unit is different than the needle we will go home with. I think we have that all clarified now.
Here’s hoping for some good weight gain tomorrow, and staying steady with all other things. Also, that David is able to get some comfort and rest tonight. We’re hoping to get some clarification on David’s multivitamin tomorrow, since we think it might be contributing to his discomfort.
Prayers for positive progress So y’all can come home and be together 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Prayers continue for David and all of the family as well as the medical staff. May you find patience, peace and comfort in God’s love.
Happy Birthday little David ☀️ Praying for many more days to come 💕
