Happy 3 months to David. For 3 months he has kept us on our toes wondering what is next, and for three months he has amazed us with what he has overcome. However, today David was readmitted to the hospital. It’s been a long an exhausting day to say the least.
In the effort to put out a quick update, he was admitted for a couple reasons – one for weight gain (they would like him to gain a little more quickly), and his echo today showed a decrease in his heart output and the pressure gradients across his stents and PA bands were very high despite David being very calm. So, he’s currently in the hospital where he can be monitored and they can adjust his meds to try to improve these things. They did place an NG tube. Hopefully we don’t need it, but David needs to finish his feeds a little more quickly. It sounds like he will have a cath procedure tomorrow. I’m not sure if it is the one that was originally scheduled on the 23rd of this month, or a new exploratory one as we’ve gotten a few varying answers. Right now, we’re taking it one day at a time. We expect David to be in the hospital through the weekend at a minimum. Either Adam or I may post more details later, but it’s been a little crazy today. We were told that an admittance was possible, but it seemed like they wanted to avoid it, until the echo results were reviewed.
We have also added a few meal train days for the upcoming week and may add or remove depending on how long David is in the hospital.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
