Today we got the direction and clarity we had been waiting for. I will say I am very happy with the plan that they came up for him, and I’ll post more details later because I want to go to bed. Here’s a quick update.
David is still in the hospital. He did gain weight today, which was awesome! David will remain in the hospital as he now has a date on the books for his upcoming heart surgery – next Wednesday. That is Valentine’s Day! As the cardiologist who came by to deliver the news said “a heart surgery on that date is hopefully a good omen.” So keep David in your prayers, that he stay healthy, brave and strong and for his medical team that will take care of him. This day could change since they do emergency transplants and those take precedence, but for now that is the plan.
Prayers for David and his medical team. Prayers of rest and trust for you, David’s parents. The Lord is with you as you travel this journey together.
I sure wish I could give David a few of my pounds 🙂 I agree, heart surgery on Valentine’s Day has to be a good omen. Praying for all the pieces of the puzzle to come together and stay that way,
“Father, help me to keep my focus on You when the pain and hurt are overwhelming. Help me be faithful and see the good and blessings surrounding me. Please strengthen my mind, heart, and body, and heal me today. May the Holy Spirit guide me in peace and comfort. Amen.”
