Today has felt like getting kicked over and over again. Honestly, this is how we anticipated David’s first hospital stay going, but things kept getting better by the day. After knowing David would be getting the Norwood those fears returned, and so far it seems as if something can go wrong, it will. Overnight things … Continue reading February 19, 2024

Today was exactly what we wanted for David - a day of rest. He is starting to build a tolerance to the sedatives it seems. If he so much as moves his fingers or toes, his blood pressure becomes hypotensive, so they have adjusted those to make sure he is calm. Yesterday, he would go … Continue reading February 18, 2024

First off, thank you to everyone who has lifted David up in prayer and love. Here's what we know at the moment. David will be on ECMO for at least 48 hours. David's Cath procedure was a success. Dr. Sinha is much happier with his oxygen levels after they did place a Stent at the connection between the shunt and his heart. They will be observing him closely over the next 24 hours to see if there are any effects from the low oxygen. Also these next … Continue reading February 14, 2024 – Update 5
February 14, 2024 – Update 4
We just spoke Dr. Sinha (the surgeon) and got an update on all the happenings today. David is ok, but he's not perfect. He wants David to be perfect before they send him to the ICU. First they have completed the Norwood procedure. They decided to go with the Sano shunt instead of the BTT … Continue reading February 14, 2024 – Update 4
